Biography

A native of Victoriaville, Québec, Canada, Hélène is a graduate of the Conservatoire d’Art Dramatique de Montréal.

After touring extensively with award-winning theatre company Le Carrousel, among other, varied, acting work, she became artistic director at the underground theatrical sensation La Maison Hantée.

Being drawn by a strong love for music, she set about to complete a Bachelor’s degree in Music (instrument: voice), at the Faculté de Musique de l’Université de Montréal.

Her love of the theatre and her love of music were finally sealed together when she came to direct musicals in the San Francisco-Bay Area where she worked exclusively with teenagers and children, dedicating herself to bringing masterpieces such as Notre Dame de Paris and Romeo and Juliet to these young performers’ lives.

Stunned to learn that the outstanding RockOpera Roméo et Juliette , de la haine à l’amour, by Gérard Presgurvic, had never played professionally in the USA, Hélène made up her mind to bring it to the American audiences. At the suggestion of Mr Presgurvic, she translated the book and wrote the American lyrics.

Now that the American version of this beautiful RockOpera is completed, Hélène is producing and directing the first professional production of this Romeo and Juliet, a RockOpera.

Hélène now lives in Boise, Idaho with her husband, her dog, and close to their son.
